Business Professionals of America (BPA)
Business Professionals of America (BPA) is a national youth organization of business and computer students, which is organized into local chapters. Business Professionals of America has a history as a student organization that contributes to the preparation of a world-class workforce through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic, and technological skills. Through co-curricular programs and services, members of Business Professionals of America compete in demonstrations of their business technology skills, develop their professional and leadership skills, network with one another and professionals across the nation, and get involved in the betterment of their community through good works projects.
Membership in the Business Professionals of America is open to any high school student, but it is strongly encouraged and advantageous to be enrolled in business or computer-related classes. These include Accounting, Word Processing/Keyboarding, Marketing/Management, Computer Applications, Introduction to Business, Business Math, Economics, and Personal and Business Law.
