|The John Marshall Honor Society is the leader among organizations that
promote recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments
in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Special induction ceremonies are held each fall for new members. Junior
and senior students become eligible for consideration by attaining a
cumulative weighted grade point average of at least 3.5 and having no
discipline or attendance issues. Eligible students are encouraged to
apply using forms available on our website. Through their applications,
students will submit evidence of their leadership , participation in
school and/or community activities, service work completed and three
teacher recommendations. All of this information is used by the faculty
advisory committee to select students for membership. Membership is an
honor bestowed upon a student and selection is considered a privilege,
not a right.
Members are expected to maintain the standards by which they were
selected. In addition, they are obligated to attend all monthly meetings
and induction ceremonies and be involved in HS sponsored service
activities and tutoring at JM.
