John (Mike) Williams

Welcome to Science at John Marshall.  My name is John M. Williams, and I'm an enthusiastic science educator and coach in the Rochester School District.  I've taught at John Adams and Kellogg Middle Schools, at Century High School, but starting this year I teach exclusively at John Marshall!  I also coach varsity football, gymnastics, and track at JM.

I'm originally from Wisconsin, but I did my undergraduate work at St. Olaf College here in Minnesota.  I earned a bachelor's degree in Biology, German, and Environmental Studies from there in 2009. I went on to earn a master's degree from the University of Iowa in Science Education in 2011.

This is my 6th year teaching and third year in the district.  My previous teaching experience includes high school Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Physical Science in Cedar Rapids and Sioux Falls.
